Licensed Breeder
We, Clyde & Janice Castleberry, as owners of Safari Ltd. a division of Triple C Ranch, Inc., have a long
history in the animal industry.  We both were raised on ranches in Central Texas and have been involved
with animals from showing sheep and cattle, when in school, to importing and raising Simmental cattle
from the late1970’s through the early 1990’s, conducting Simmental Cattle Auctions all across Texas, as
well as exporting Simmental Bulls to Mexico during the 1980’s & 90’s. In the mid 1980’s we began to
introduce Exotic Animals to our ranch beginning with the Llama and soon adding the Emu, Rhea, Ostrich,
and Cassowary. Because of the interest these Exotics created, we began to sell a few in each of the Bull
Auctions and soon realized there was a need for an Exotic Animal Auction in Texas .
Over the years I, Janice, helped organize the Texas & American Junior Simmental Associations, American & Texas Emu
Assocoations through the 1980’s; hatched, raised, and sold Ostrich, Rhea, and Emu chicks all across the United States and authored two books concerning the
hatching and raising of the Emu.

Our involvement with the Exotic Animals continues to this day with the breeding, raising, and selling of various breeds.  Clyde says that his interest is with his hoof
stock but he is in the “middle” of my involvement with the Lemurs, Coatimundis, Kinkajous, and Kangaroos as we literally live with these “critters”, as you will see
when you read the information concerning each.

Our animals play an important role in our lives so when we pull the babies to wean them from their mothers, bottle feed them, and gentle them to be sold as pets
they literally become “one of our family”; therefore, it is extremely important to us that they are placed in a home with someone who has a love for animals and is
willing to spend the time to give them the care and attention they need. Also, upon pulling the babies we take them to our vet for their first check up and exam.
They are then neutered, spayed, declawed, and have any other necessary medical treatment needed to prepare that particular baby for it's new home. The
coatimundi and lemurs also have their baby canine teeth removed. The Coati's will require adult canines to be removed when they mature.

I like to conduct follow up calls to the new owners of the special little ones to see how they are doing. As I am writing this, there is a baby kangaroo lying by my
feet and a little coatimundi ”hanging out” with me at my computer desk so you can certainly understand my wanting to know how they are doing after being placed
with their new families.

We have various babies for sale at different times so please contact us for current availability and pricing.
In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s we began to conduct Exotic Animal Auctions which eventually elevated to 4 day sales, selling over
10,000 exotic birds and animals per auction with a $4,000,000+ sales volume.

In the Exotic Auction, Clyde sold the first Boer Goats ever to be auctioned in the United States and soon developed auctions strictly for
the Boer Goat Industry, which he conducted at the ranch as well as in Louisiana and Mississippi through 2005.

In addition to the Exotic Auction, we owned and operated the Safari Ltd. Zoo in Lampasas, TX . The Zoo was filled with many different
species of the Exotic Animals ranging from the giraffe, pygmy hippo, hyenas, muntjack deer, black buck, tapers, capybara to a large
variety of smaller mammals and birds in the petting area which was a great place for the school children in the area to be introduced to
these animals.
